BRINGING IN THE BENEFITS

What Are Native Plants and Why Are They Important?
Yards with native plants typically require lower maintenance times and costs. Native plants use less water, help keep out invasive species, and attract pollinators such as butterflies, bees, and birds.
Our Goal
Our goal is to promote environmentally friendly yards in Fort Collins through partnership with Nature in the City- Fort Collins, The Audubon Society, Colorado State University, and local nurseries.

Pollinators
Birds, bees, and butterflies help to move pollen from flower to flower as they enjoy your garden and the neighborhood around you. This helps to pollinate plant species and improve the ecosystem. Native plant species increase the number of pollinators that will visit your garden and create healthy habitats for native wildlife.
